AC Milan’s unbeaten run in Serie A continues, but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Sassuolo, with Bartesaghi scoring a brace.

The match was a tight affair, with Sassuolo taking the lead through Ismael Kone’s chip. AC Milan struggled to find a response, but they eventually equalized before the break through Davide Bartesaghi’s maiden Serie A goal. The Italian defender ghosted in at the back post to slot home Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s cross.

After the interval, AC Milan took the lead again, with Bartesaghi scoring his second goal of the match. However, Sassuolo pushed back and equalized through Armand Lauriente, who slotted the ball past Mike Maignan.

Milan had chances to win the match, but they were unable to capitalize. Christian Pulisic’s effort was ruled out for a Loftus-Cheek foul in the build-up, while Adrien Rabiot was in an offside position.

The result also means that Milan have now failed to beat the three newly-promoted sides in their first three such head-to-heads for the first time since 2014/15.
