Hojlund’s replacement Sesko to be unveiled at Old Trafford on Saturday
AC Milan have expressed interest in signing Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund, with the Serie A club pushing for an initial loan deal.
Hojlund publicly stated his commitment to United last month after scoring in a pre-season win over Bournemouth, saying he intended to stay despite the club’s pursuit of another No 9 in the window.
That stance could now be tested after United signed RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in a deal worth up to €85m, ironically the same fee paid to sign Hojlund from Atalanta two years ago.
Milan are understood to be limited by finances and seeking a one-year loan for the player. The deal is reportedly worth around €4m with an option to buy next summer for €40m.
It is unclear whether United will entertain such terms. The club have said that they are willing to listen to offers in excess of €35m for Hojlund and would likely prefer a sale.
United’s new signing Sesko is expected to be unveiled at Old Trafford on Saturday before a friendly against Fiorentina.
