Brighton defender Pervis Estupinan is close to completing a move to AC Milan in a deal worth €18m plus €2m in add-ons, with the player set to sign a four-year contract.

Pervis Estupinan is on the verge of joining AC Milan from Brighton, with the Italian giants reportedly agreeing to pay €18m plus €2m in bonuses for the Ecuadorian left-back. The 27-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract worth approximately €2.5 million per season.

Estupinan’s move to Milan marks a significant transfer for the club, which has been looking to strengthen its defensive lineup after the departure of Theo Hernandez to Al-Hilal.

With his Premier League experience and attacking prowess, Estupinan is expected to make a significant impact in the Serie A.

The transfer negotiations between Brighton and Milan had been ongoing, with the two clubs initially disagreeing on valuation. Brighton had been holding out for €23m, while Milan’s initial bid was €12m. However, after prolonged negotiations, the clubs have reached a mutually agreeable deal.

Estupinan’s departure from Brighton will likely prompt the Seagulls to seek a replacement, potentially accelerating their efforts to sign another left-back before the transfer window closes. With European football on the horizon, finding a suitable replacement will be a top priority for Brighton’s manager, Fabian Hurzeler.

As Estupinan joins Max Allegri’s squad in Singapore for pre-season training, fans are eagerly anticipating his debut for the Rossoneri. With his experience and skills, Estupinan is poised to become a key player for Milan in the upcoming season.
