Arsenal will begin their Carabao Cup campaign against Port Vale.

Arsenal have been drawn against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup third round fixture as the draws took place after Manchester United’s disappointing loss to Grimsby Town in the second round.

Arsenal will travel to Vale Park; however, the final date for the fixture is yet to be communicated.

This will be the first time both teams have met since the 1997/98 when Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw in an FA Cup third round replay at the Staffordshire side’s home.

The Gunners eventually won on penalties and the FA Cup trophy as part of Arsene Wenger’s first double.

The Gunners are looking to win the League Cup for the first time since 1993, and for just the third time in their history.
