Juventus kicks off the Serie A season with a 2-0 victory over Parma at the Allianz Stadium, thanks to goals from Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic.
Juventus kicked off their Serie A campaign with a thrilling 2-0 victory over Parma at the sold-out Allianz Stadium. The match was evenly balanced in the first half, with both teams creating scoring opportunities. Parma pushed forward early, but Juventus responded with a Conceicao header from a Thuram cross, forcing Suzuki into a smart save in the 13th minute.
The Bianconeri continued to threaten Parma’s goal, with Thuram heading just over the bar from a set piece in the 23rd minute. Despite their efforts, both teams went into the break locked at 0-0.
The second half saw Juventus come out firing, with Gatti grazing the crossbar from outside the box in the 48th minute. The deadlock was finally broken in the 59th minute when Yildiz delivered a perfect cross to David, who timed his run perfectly and scored with the outside of his right foot.
After taking the lead, Juventus continued to create chances, with Thuram and Yildiz both being denied by the Parma goalkeeper. However, the Bianconeri’s composure was tested when Cambiaso was sent off with a straight red card in the 83rd minute for raising his hands towards Lovik’s face.
But Juventus didn’t crack under pressure. Instead, they doubled their lead six minutes from time when Yildiz led a counterattack and set up Vlahovic to score. Parma attempted to grab a consolation goal in the final minutes, but Di Gregorio made a smart save from a long-distance effort by Bernabè.
The win marked a solid start to the season for Juventus, who dominated the match despite being reduced to ten men. Kenan Yildiz was instrumental in both goals, showcasing his skill and vision on the field.
