Victor Boniface’s agent is set to finalize the Nigerian striker’s move to AC Milan, with the clubs reportedly reaching an agreement on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Victor Boniface’s agent is expected to arrive in Italy soon to finalize the striker’s transfer to AC Milan. The deal is reportedly close to being sealed, with Milan and Bayer Leverkusen having already reached an agreement on the transfer formula and fee. 

Boniface has given his approval for the move to San Siro.

The breakthrough in negotiations came when Milan dropped their interest in Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund and made an offer to sign Boniface on an initial loan deal with an option to buy. The two clubs are now working on the paperwork, with the aim of finalizing the deal in time for the first Serie A game of the season against Cremonese on Saturday.

Boniface’s move to AC Milan would mark a new chapter in his career, providing him with the opportunity to play in one of Europe’s top leagues. The 24-year-old has been linked with several clubs, including Newcastle United and Chelsea, but AC Milan seems to be the most likely destination.

Despite concerns over Boniface’s injury record, AC Milan appears to be confident in their pursuit of the striker. Boniface has struggled with injuries in recent months and underwent two knee surgeries before 2020, but the club believes he can make a significant impact on their team.

The Nigerian striker has impressed with his skills on the field, scoring 32 goals and providing 12 assists in 61 matches for Bayer Leverkusen.
