Premier League clubs playing in Europe receive a bye to the third round
Manchester United will face League Two side Grimsby Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The tie will be played at Blundell Park in the week beginning 25 August. United are entering a round early after finishing 15th and failing to qualify for Europe last season.
Grimsby reached the FA Cup quarter-finals in 2023 after defeating Southampton in the fifth round, but they ultimately lost 5-0 to Brighton.
The nine Premier League clubs playing in Europe this season receive a bye to the third round, which means that Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace will enter the tournament in the third round.
Four of the other Premier League sides in the second round will play against each other, with Bournemouth facing Brentford, while Wolves host West Ham.
Fulham will face Bristol City, and Everton will welcome Mansfield Town to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Newly promoted side Burnley face Derby County. Leeds United will travel to face the winner of the first-round meeting between Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday, while Sunderland face either Huddersfield or Leicester City.
