Inter Milan overcame a 10-man disadvantage to defeat AS Monaco 2-1 in a friendly match, with Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny scoring crucial goals.

The friendly match between Inter Milan and AS Monaco was filled with drama and excitement.

Despite being reduced to 10 men after Hakan Calhanoglu’s early red card, Inter managed to secure a 2-1 win over Monaco. The match saw some impressive performances from both teams, with Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny scoring crucial goals for Inter.

Monaco got off to a flying start, scoring within 80 seconds of the match. Calhanoglu was robbed in midfield, allowing Maghnes Akliouche to score with a powerful shot into the near top corner.

Inter had several chances to equalize, but Nicolò Barella’s volley sailed over the bar, and Marcus Thuram’s tap-in was deflected wide.

The tension in the match was palpable, with Lautaro Martinez and Cristian Chivu’s assistant Aleksandar Kolarov both being booked for dissent. Calhanoglu’s red card came after he was booked for a clumsy sliding tackle and then slipped and lunged into another tackle on Vanderson in the center circle.

Despite being down to 10 men, Inter managed to equalize after the restart. Alessandro Bastoni made a big tackle, and Barella quickly sent Lautaro Martinez one-on-one against Thilo Kehrer. Martinez skillfully turned Kehrer inside out and scored with a twisting dribble.

Shortly after, Denis Zakaria hit the upright with a daisy-cutter, while Barella volleyed over the bar again.

Inter turned the match around when Ange-Yoan Bonny scored a brilliant goal. Bonny stole the ball back inside his own half, embarked on a mazy run, and dinked the finish over Lukas Hradecky when off balance from eight yards.

The match saw some notable performances from both teams. Monaco had several chances to score, including two sitters from Mika Biereth and George Ilenikhena, but Inter’s defense held strong. Inter’s Bonny was instrumental in the team’s comeback, scoring the winning goal and creating several other chances.

The win is a positive sign for Inter as they continue their pre-season preparations. The team will look to build on this momentum and come out strong in their upcoming matches. For Monaco, the loss is a setback, but they will look to regroup and bounce back in their next match.
