Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has failed to report for training for the second day in a row as his transfer dispute with the club continues.

Ademola Lookman has missed Atalanta’s training sessions for the second consecutive day, escalating the tension between him and the club. The 27-year-old forward is desperate to join Inter, but Atalanta rejected the Italian club’s €45m bid last week.

Lookman’s frustration boiled over on Instagram, where he accused Atalanta of “broken promises” and treating him poorly. He confirmed submitting a formal transfer request, citing an agreement with the club that he would be allowed to leave if a suitable offer arrived.

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi acknowledged a gentleman’s agreement with Lookman but emphasized that part of the deal was that he wouldn’t sign for another Italian club. This condition complicates Lookman’s desired move to Inter.

Lookman’s absence from training is seen as a protest to pressure Atalanta into accepting Inter’s bid. However, the club is unlikely to take kindly to this approach, and the situation is becoming increasingly tense.

The Nigerian international’s actions may have consequences, and Atalanta could take disciplinary action if he continues to miss training without a valid reason. The standoff between Lookman and Atalanta shows no signs of easing.

Inter remains interested in signing Lookman, but Atalanta’s stance on the transfer has not wavered. The club believes they can get a better deal for the player, and Lookman’s tactics may not be enough to force a breakthrough.
