Midfielder made just one Premier League start in the second half of last season
Jack Grealish has resumed training with Manchester City as he explores a move away from the club ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old midfielder was back with the first-team group at the club’s training ground on Monday after spending the summer following an individual programme.
His return comes despite being told he is not part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for the season.
Grealish was left out of the City squad for the Club World Cup and has been informed that first-team opportunities will be limited if he stays.
The English midfielder made just one Premier League start in the second half of last season and was left out entirely for the final game of the campaign at Fulham as well as the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.
Everton and West Ham United are among the clubs monitoring Grealish’s situation, with both sides weighing up potential moves.
City are open to permanent offers but are also prepared to consider a loan deal if no buyer emerges before the transfer window closes.
Grealish has two years remaining on the six-year contract he signed when he joined from Aston Villa in 2021 for a then British record fee of £100m.
