Liverpool can fund their bid to sign Alexander Isak if they complete the sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich this summer.
Bayern Munich are close to agreeing a €75 million deal for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz. Bayern have been in the market searching for a new winger following the departure of Leroy Sane to Galatasaray and the injury of Jamal Musiala.
If they are to fill these gaps and especially close the hole created by Musiala’s injury, they would need more firepower up front. Things haven’t exactly been going their way this transfer window until a few days ago.
The German giants have agreed on personal terms and a €75 million deal for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. This move, however, doesn’t just favour the Germans but Liverpool as well.

Liverpool have been on a spending spree this summer, and it seems like they have done their last bit of business with the signing of Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt. But their long-time interest, Alexander Isak, has expressed his desire to leave Newcastle.
Despite signing Ekitike, Liverpool are still interested in signing Isak as Nunez is also expected to leave the club. Signing Isak would be a Herculean task as Newcastle are expecting a bid around £150 million.

But Liverpool can still bid for him. The Merseyside club has asked to be informed about new developments on Isak, and with Diaz about to join Bayern, they may just have enough money to fund the transfer.
While Bayern Munich would be solving their own problems, they would also be creating an opening for an Isak bid from Liverpool. If Bayern complete the Diaz deal with reports suggest that the Colombian winger should be in Germany to complete his medicals today. If all goes according to plan, do not be surprised if you see Liverpool bid for Isak and maybe just sign him.
