Although AC Milan were poor by their standards today, they had an ‘aha’ moment as youth talent Lorenzo Torriani stole the show in his second professional game for the club.

AC Milan lost 1-0 to Arsenal in their preseason tour in Singapore. They were very poor to watch; they had only three shots in the entire game and just one shot on target. But they had one positive from the game as Lorenzo Torriani opened the eyes of many to the wonders in the Milan youth system.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper came on for starting keeper Pietro Terracciano in the 66th minute, and from then on, he put on a show. In his second professional game for the club, he had a lot of people talking about him. 

He was called into action when a ferocious shot from Trossard was heading for goal, and he pushed it over the bar. He went on to make three important saves to keep the score at 1-0. His save against Reiss Nelson was replaying in the minds of many spectators. Standing at 6.83 ft, the 20-year-old goalkeeper has shown he can write a chapter in AC Milan’s book this season.

In the penalty shootout after the game, he dazzled. Considering it was his second game with the senior team, you didn’t know what to expect, but he put on a show. 

He made three penalty saves, denying Odegaard, who took the first penalty. He also denied Kiwior and Reiss Nelson, who took the 4th and 5th penalty. AC Milan went on to win the penalty shootout 6-5, and with this performance, Torriani has shocked the football world. Many eyes will be on him to see how he develops.
