Club officials are already working to arrange a transfer for Victor before the end of July

Barcelona’s successful move to bring Marcus Rashford in on loan from Manchester United is expected to accelerate the exit of forward Pau Victor.

Rashford is due to join the squad immediately and will be part of the club’s pre-season tour of Asia. His arrival is likely to have knock-on effects for fringe players, Victor chief among them.

Sources close to the club have confirmed that Victor is not in Flick’s long-term plans, and the 22-year-old now finds himself well down the attacking pecking order.

With Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, and now Rashford all available as options in the forward line, opportunities will be limited.

Club officials are already working to arrange a transfer for Victor before the end of July. According to Catalan journalist Toni Juanmarti, the forward’s departure is being fast-tracked following Rashford’s arrival.

The one challenge, however, might be Barcelona’s €10m asking price. The player has attracted interest from within La Liga and clubs in Portugal and Belgium, but they might be reluctant to meet that valuation outright.

A loan with an obligation to buy, or a deal with a sell-on clause, are among the options Barcelona could consider. It is also likely that the Catalan club will reduce their asking price for the fringe player.
