Inter Milan has cooled its interest in Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund, with the club set to retain Francesco Pio Esposito and sign Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Inter Milan had reportedly been scouting Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund to bolster their attacking depth. However, with recent developments in their squad, the Nerazzurri have cooled their interest in the Danish international.

Francesco Pio Esposito, a 19-year-old striker, is set to stay at Inter after impressing with a breakout performance against River Plate in the Club World Cup.

Inter is also close to signing Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma for a fee of €23-24 million plus add-ons.

With the addition of Bonny and Esposito’s expected stay, Inter feels confident in their striker options, which already include Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram. As a result, the club sees little reason to pursue Hojlund’s signing at this time.

The retention of Esposito and the potential signing of Bonny have reshaped Inter’s attack, providing the team with a strong and youthful lineup. This development suggests that Inter will focus on other areas of the squad in the transfer window, rather than pursuing additional strikers.

With a solid attacking lineup in place, Inter can now shift its attention to other priorities, such as strengthening their defense or midfield. The club’s transfer strategy appears to be paying off, with a balanced squad taking shape for the upcoming season.
