Paul Pogba is set to join AS Monaco after arriving in France for a medical ahead of a potential two-year deal. The France international’s move marks his return to competitive football after an 18-month doping ban.

Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is set to join AS Monaco after arriving in France to undergo a medical ahead of the potential transfer.

The France international is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 club, marking his return to competitive football after an 18-month doping ban.

Pogba’s ban was initially four years but was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

He has been free to recommence his career since March after reaching an agreement with Juventus to leave the Italian club. If the deal is finalized, Pogba is expected to participate in Monaco’s pre-season and begin the season as usual, provided he is fully fit.

The 2018 World Cup winner’s move to Monaco is imminent, with sources indicating that an agreement is in place.

Pogba will undergo a medical in Nice before traveling to Monaco to complete the formalities and sign the contract. The deal would be a significant coup for Monaco, adding a World Cup-winning midfielder to their squad.
