Wydad AC and Al Ain join the list of teams eliminated from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after losing their opening Group G fixtures.

Wydad AC and Al Ain have become the latest teams to be eliminated from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The two clubs suffered losses in their opening Group G fixtures to Manchester City and Juventus, who have both qualified for the next round.

Wydad AC lost 2-0 to Manchester City in their first game, followed by a 4-1 defeat to Juventus. Al Ain suffered a 5-0 loss to Juventus and a 6-0 defeat to Manchester City.

With these losses, both teams have no chance of qualification and will play for pride in their final group match on Thursday.

They join Ulsan HD, Auckland City, Los Angeles FC, Pachuca, and Urawa Red Diamonds as teams that have been eliminated from the tournament. These teams have lost their opening matches, making it impossible for them to advance to the knockout rounds.

The other teams were eliminated after failing to secure any points in their opening matches. Auckland City suffered heavy defeats to Benfica and Bayern Munich, while Los Angeles FC lost to Chelsea and Espérance de Tunis.

Ulsan HD fell to Mamelodi Sundowns and Fluminense, while FC Salzburg and Real Madrid defeated Pachuca. Urawa Red Diamonds also failed to secure any points in their group stage matches.
