Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Rodrygo, with Mikel Arteta reportedly needing an additional attacker on his team’s weaker left wing
Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has seemingly announced his intention to stay at the club despite growing interest from Premier League side Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old Brazilian posted a photo of himself in training under new head coach Xabi Alonso this week captioned simply with the word “FELIZ”, Spanish for “happy”, hinting at contentment with life at the Bernabeu.

The post comes amid ongoing speculation that Rodrygo could be among the players Real Madrid might consider selling this summer to balance their squad following the arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the Brazilian attacker, with Mikel Arteta reportedly needing an additional attacker on his team’s weaker left side. Arsenal showed a clear right-wing bias in the Premier League last season, undoubtedly because that position is occupied by their strongest attacker Bukayo Saka.
However, a new addition who can play across the front three, including on the right as a replacement for Saka – should he get injured – would be idea for the Gunners. And Rodrygo fits that bill.
Reports from Spain said that Rodrygo would hold talks with Alonso about his role in the new-look squad once the new manager took over. The player’s social media post comes after Alonso made his first appearance at Valdebebas on Monday.
It is unclear what the outcome of discussions between the two are, but the player’s reaction seems to suggest they are positive.
