Inter Milan and Other Serie A Clubs Eye Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Return

Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli are keeping tabs on PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who could potentially return to Serie A when his contract expires next summer.

Inter Milan are among four Serie A clubs interested in signing PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, with AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli also in the mix.

Donnarumma left Italy to join PSG in 2021, but rumours of his potential return have resurfaced due to his contract situation. His deal with PSG is set to expire next summer, making him a viable target for top Serie A clubs.

Inter are looking for a long-term replacement for Yann Sommer, and Donnarumma’s skills make him an attractive option.

However, his high salary of €12 million net per season and PSG’s asking price of at least €40m could be major obstacles. Juventus had previously shown interest, but their enthusiasm waned after sacking sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

AC Milan might consider Donnarumma’s return if they sell Mike Maignan to Chelsea, but the club’s financial constraints make it difficult to afford the goalkeeper’s wages.

Napoli could also pursue Donnarumma if they fail to renew Alex Meret’s contract, but the financial implications of Donnarumma’s potential return to Serie A will be closely watched.
