Italian Club reportedly holds “strong admiration” for Manchester United striker

Inter Milan have reportedly made informal contact with Manchester United regarding a potential deal for striker Rasmus Hojlund.

According to reports, the Italian club has a strong admiration for the Denmark international, who joined United from Atalanta in a £72 million deal last summer.

Despite a mixed first season at Old Trafford, Inter are said to view Hojlund as a viable long-term investment and see value in a player who may have been thrust into a central role too quickly at United.

The 22-year-old’s struggles in the Premier League have led to growing speculation over his future, and United are open to the idea of parting ways with him should a suitable offer arrive.

Inter’s interest in Hojlund is not new, as they retained a strong admiration for the striker following his performances for Atalanta in Serie A. Several Italian clubs still appreciate his potential and physical attributes, despite his challenges in the Premier League.

United’s incoming manager, Ruben Amorim, may look to overhaul the squad, and Hojlund could be one of the players sacrificed to fund new signings.

With Inter’s interest, a potential move to Italy could be on the cards for the young striker.
