Ronaldo stole the show once again as he helped Portugal complete a comeback victory over Germany.
Portugal qualified for the UEFA Nations League final thanks to a comeback victory over Germany. Goals from Conceicao and Ronaldo ensured that they got a 2-1 victory over Germany in the Allianz Arena.
Portugal were pegged back in the 48th minute by a goal from Florian Wirtz after managing to play a 0-0 draw in the first half. Germany had chances to extend their lead but they failed to take it and were made to pay in the end.
Substitute Conceicao pulled Portugal level in the 63rd minute after scoring a wonder goal from outside the box. He hadn’t even been on the pitch for long but he made his presence felt.
From that moment, it was game on for Portugal. They played with a lot of fire and just five minutes after equalising, they were level. A beautiful run from Mendes saw him through on goal and he slotted a pass for Ronaldo who was free on the edge of the box. All Ronaldo had to do was tap in the ball to give his team the lead.
His goal secured the win and saw Portugal through to the final. They now wait for the outcome of the match between France and Spain to know who they’ll play in the final.
