Al Nassr is keen on extending Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, with the club’s sporting director, Fernando Hierro, confirming ongoing negotiations.

Ronaldo’s current deal expires on June 30, and despite interest from other clubs, Hierro expressed optimism about finding a solution to keep Ronaldo at Al Nassr. Ronaldo is expected to sign a two-year contract extension, valid until the summer of 2027, with an optional third year that could see him playing until 2028.

Ronaldo’s annual salary is reportedly around €200 million, with potential additional earnings from business ventures in Saudi Arabia. He is also set to receive a 5% stake in Al Nassr as part of the new deal, significantly increasing his earnings.

However, Ronaldo has requested changes to enhance the team’s competitiveness, including the arrival of a renowned coach and a reputed sporting director, as well as a say in the club’s transfer market activities.

Ronaldo has scored 99 goals in 105 matches for Al Nassr, averaging a goal every 96 minutes.

Despite his impressive goal-scoring record, Ronaldo has only won the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 since joining Al Nassr and is likely to be keen on adding more trophies to his collection. He will join Portugal’s national team next week for the UEFA Nations League finals
