The coefficient system, which awards 2.0 points to the top 5 leagues, of which the La Liga falls under and 1.5 points to leagues from 6th to 22nd place, with the Portuguese Primeira Liga in 6th place, explains why Mbappe trails Gyokeres despite scoring 10 fewer goals.
