The Serie A Title has found a new home with Napoli after they claimed it in their 2-0 victory over Cagliari.
This is a day many Napoli fans will not forget in a hurry. Their gruelling run in the 2024/25 Serie A season sees them finish as Champions. They will be taking home the Scudetto after beating Cagliari 2-0 in the final match of the Serie A season.
The Serie A title race went down to the wire as both teams refused to give space to the other. The gap between Inter Milan and Napoli coming into this final game was just one point and a win would guarantee the Partenopei the Scudetto regardless of Inter’s results.
The match was a nervy one especially when news came that Inter had already scored against Como in the 20th minute. Napoli knew they had work to do and they got to it. McTominay’s goal in the 42nd minute gave the Partenopei the belief that they needed to get through the match and in the second half, Lukaku made it 2-0 which was just enough to see them claim the title.
Inter won their game 2-0 as well but Napoli’s win confirms the Partenopei as Champions of Italy once again. This is Conte’s fifth Serie A title and Napoli’s fourth, winning it twice in three years.
