Georgian superstar Kvicha Kvaratskhelia has shocked the football world with his skills, right from his Napoli days, but he’s about to do something even more extraordinary.
Kvaratskhelia is currently gunning for major trophies across different leagues as he may achieve an unprecedented treble by winning the Serie A, Ligue 1, and Champions League in one season. Kvara was a crucial player for Napoli during his time in the Serie.
His contributions were instrumental in ending the club’s 33-year wait for a Serie A title. By the midpoint of the 2024–25 season, he had already made significant contributions to Napoli’s campaign, including earning the Serie A Player of the Month award in September 2024.
In January 2025, PSG secured Kvaratskhelia’s services for a reported €70 million, marking him as the first Georgian player in the club’s history. His debut was promising, providing an assist in a 1–1 draw against Reims, and he quickly found the net in subsequent matches, including a Champions League fixture against Brest.
Under the guidance of manager Luis Enrique, PSG transformed, focusing on youth and cohesive team play. This strategy paid dividends as the club clinched their 13th Ligue 1 title with several games to spare.
In the Champions League, PSG’s revamped squad showcased resilience and flair, overcoming formidable opponents like Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal to reach the final. Kvaratskhelia’s integration into the team added depth and creativity to PSG’s attacking options, making them a more deadly frontline both on paper and on the pitch.
He was impressive in their UCL quarterfinal and semifinal legs, scoring a goal against Aston Villa and also pressing the Arsenal backline. PSG have found themselves on the brink of history, after reaching their second-ever UCL final and should they win in the upcoming Champions League final against Inter Milan, Kvaratskhelia would achieve an unprecedented feat: winning Serie A, Ligue 1, and the Champions League within a single season.
He has already won the Ligue 1 with PSG by getting enough performances in the league to get a medal and his inclusion in the Champions League squad for PSG means he will get a medal too. In the Serie, he contributed a lot to Napoli’s performance in the first half of the season and should they win the Serie A, he wil be guaranteed a medal as well.
This accomplishment would not only underscore his individual talent but also highlight his adaptability and impact across Europe’s top leagues. Such a treble would place Kvaratskhelia in a unique position in football history, joining similar players like João Cancelo, who has also won multple trophies in a single season by featuring for Bayern and Manchester City in title winning seasons.
