Napoli took a step closer to securing the Serie A title with a narrow 1-0 away win over Lecce on Saturday, thanks to a well-executed free-kick by Giacomo Raspadori in the first half.
The match had a different atmosphere to it in the beginning due to the recent death of Lecce’s physiotherapist, Graziano Fiorita, with a moment of silence held before kickoff and a brief interruption caused by fan protests.
This victory keeps Napoli three points ahead of second-placed Inter Milan, who also secured a 1-0 win on Saturday.
With three matches remaining, Napoli needs only seven points to clinch the Serie A title.
Their remaining fixtures include games against Genoa, Cagliari, and Parma, providing a favourable path to claiming the Scudetto.
