PSG once again showed why they’re favourites to win the UEFA Champions League with a spirited performance to get ahead of Arsenal on the road to the final.

The match was full of edgy moments, and certainly, fans of both clubs will have things worthy of note.

Dembele Strikes Again

He’s undoubtedly PSG’s main man. You can’t watch a PSG match without Dembele being all over the place, either making quick passes in midfield or tearing down the opposition’s defense line. He has really improved this season and yesterday he balled once again.

His goal in the 4th minute was enough to give the Parisians a lead going into the second leg. Although he came off with an injury, it is hoped that it’s nothing serious.

PSG Were Very Cautious

The French champions played with high intensity throughout the match, but they were very cautious in their approach.

In previous matches, they gave up easy chances, made risky passes which either see them concede a goal or just lose hold of proceedings, but yesterday, they were cautious. Even when Arsenal won the ball, they were very composed in pressing and getting it back.

Could’ve Been 2-0 or 3-0

1-0 is a respectable scoreline going into the second leg, and it means the tie hasn’t been decided, but it could’ve been 2-0 or 3-0. The Parisians had chances to extend their lead in the dying minutes of the match, but just failed to bury those chances .

There is the possibility of a comeback in the return leg especially at this stage of the UCL and given the type of team Arsenal are, PSG may live to regret missing those chances come the second leg. However, that remains to be seen.
