Why Tottenham and Aston Villa Have Club Brugge’s Tresoldi On Their Radar

Tottenham and Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, with the Germany Under-21 forward quickly becoming one of the more interesting young strikers on the Premier League radar.

Tresoldi has made a strong start to the season and his form has now attracted attention from two Premier League clubs looking at their options for the future. The 22-year-old has also given scouts another reason to watch him after scoring a hat-trick for Germany Under-21s in a 4-1 win over Malta.

His Club Brugge form has been just as important. Tresoldi has already shown that he can perform on the European stage, including scoring against Aston Villa in Brugge’s 3-2 Champions League defeat to the English side. That performance has not gone unnoticed by Villa, who are expected to continue monitoring him.

Tottenham are also keeping track of the striker as they assess their long-term options in attack. Tresoldi’s combination of age, goalscoring form and Champions League experience makes him an attractive player for a club looking to strengthen its forward line without necessarily chasing an established superstar.

The next few weeks could give both Premier League clubs an even better look at what Tresoldi can offer. Club Brugge have Champions League meetings with Inter Milan and Liverpool coming up, giving the striker another opportunity to test himself against some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

There is still no indication that either Tottenham or Villa are preparing a formal offer, with both clubs currently focused on monitoring the German forward. Tresoldi is therefore not yet at the stage where a transfer looks imminent, but his performances are making him increasingly difficult to ignore.

For Tresoldi, this is exactly the kind of attention that comes with breaking through at the right time. He is still developing, but with goals for Club Brugge, a hat-trick for Germany Under-21s and Champions League football on his CV, Tottenham and Aston Villa now have a reason to keep watching.
