Harry Kane says he is in no rush to discuss a new Bayern Munich contract despite entering the final year of his deal.

Harry Kane is in no rush to resolve his Bayern Munich future, insisting that contract talks with the Bundesliga champions can take place calmly behind the scenes.

The England captain is entering the final year of his current deal in Munich, with his contract set to expire in 2027. Despite that, Kane appears relaxed about the situation and remains fully focused on another season with Vincent Kompany’s side.

Kane has little reason to be concerned after producing arguably the best campaign of his career last season. The 33-year-old scored 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances, helping Bayern win the league and cup double, while his 61 goals across all competitions represented a personal best.

His form also continued on the international stage. Kane scored at the 2026 World Cup as England reached the semi-finals, further strengthening his case to be considered among the leading contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

The striker has also started the new campaign with silverware after Bayern defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Super Cup. Nathaniel Brown and Michael Olise scored for the champions as they claimed another trophy before the Bundesliga season gets underway.

With his contract situation attracting attention, Kane has been linked with a potential return to the Premier League. However, the former Tottenham striker has shown little indication that he is desperate to leave Bayern, particularly with the Champions League remaining one of his biggest ambitions.

“We’ll talk this week and next. We’ll just have an open discussion. We’re not in a hurry or panicking,” Kane said.

“My full focus is on Bayern Munich and the upcoming season. The talks will happen behind the scenes.”
