The deal includes an option for Juventus to make Vicario’s move permanent at the end of the season, according to Tottenham. The agreement gives the Turin giants the opportunity to assess the goalkeeper over the course of the campaign before committing to a permanent transfer.
Vicario, 29, joined Tottenham from Empoli in 2023 and quickly established himself as an important member of the Spurs squad. During his time in north London, he made 117 appearances and recorded 29 clean sheets.
His spell in England also produced a major trophy. Vicario was part of the Tottenham team that won the Europa League in 2025, ending the club’s 17-year wait for a major piece of silverware.

Vicario began his professional career with Udinese before gaining experience with Venezia, Perugia, Cagliari and Empoli. It was at Empoli that his performances earned him a move to Tottenham and eventually his first senior Italy call-up in March 2024.
Vicario has since collected five caps for the Azzurri, and his return to Serie A with Juventus could give him another platform to compete at the highest level. With a permanent option included in the agreement, his performances in Turin could ultimately determine whether this loan becomes a long-term move.
