Real Madrid have made the decision to keep Endrick at the club for the upcoming season.
He is expected to compete for a place in Jose Mourinho’s attack. The decision has been taken by the player, the club and the manager.
Madrid are prepared to give the 20-year-old more chances after a difficult start to his career in Spain. Endrick struggled for minutes in the first half of last season and went on loan to Lyon in January.
He said goodbye to the club at the end of the season and has so far this summer ignored interest from clubs abroad. Aston Villa are among the sides who have maintained an interest in the forward.
Endrick plays either on the right flank or through the middle. However, he is set to face intense competition in both positions. On the right, Madrid have new signing Yan Diomande, Brahim Diaz, and Rodrygo, although the Brazilian is currently injured.
In the centre is Kylian Mbappe, who can be expected to start practically every game. Also competing in the central position is new signing Carlos Espi, who joined from Levante this summer. Espi, with his height and physical profile, looks like a traditional Mourinho No 9, so would be reasonably expected to get minutes.

It is difficult to see Endrick get sufficient minutes as things stand. Sources in Spain say his position will be reassessed in January, which is similar to what happened last season. In that case, another loan could be inevitable in January.
Endrick has made 40 appearances for Madrid since joining from Palmeiras, scoring seven goals. The club paid an initial €35m for him in July 2024 after he turned 18, with a further €25m available in add-ons.
He scored eight goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for Lyon when he the French club earlier this year.
Endrick then spent the summer with the Brazil squad at the World Cup. He played in all but one of Brazil’s matches before they were knocked out by Norway in the last 16.
