Endrick will remain at Real Madrid for the new season despite interest from several European clubs.
The forward is determined to compete for a place in Jose Mourinho’s team, even though he has attracted interest from the Premier League and elsewhere. Aston Villa are reported to be among the clubs who have followed him.
However, Endrick, Madrid and Mourinho have agreed that staying at the Bernabeu is the best option for the coming season, but is this a good idea?
The 20-year-old will face serious competition for minutes. When fit, Yan Diomande, Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz will all compete for the same spot on the right that Endrick will be eyeing. Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, who recently signed a new contract, can be expected to play as many minutes as possible under Mourinho.

Endrick could in theory provide cover for Kylian Mbappe as a central striker, but there is also the new signing Carlos Espi, who with his height seems to better fit the profile of a Mourinho forward.
Endrick’s position will be reassessed in January. Madrid took a similar approach earlier this year when Endrick joined Lyon on loan after struggling for regular first-team opportunities. He scored eight goals in 21 appearances in all competitions during his spell in France.
The youngster has made 40 appearances for Madrid since joining from Palmeiras in July 2024, scoring seven goals. The deal was worth an initial €35m, with a further €25m available in add-ons.
He was also part of Brazil’s 26-man squad for this summer’s World Cup. Endrick played in all but one of Brazil’s matches before their tournament ended with a round-of-16 defeat to Norway.
