Chelsea are monitoring Enzo Fernandez’s future amid interest from Spain, while the Blues also expect fresh offers for key attackers after completing the signing of Morgan Rogers.

Chelsea are carefully assessing Enzo Fernandez’s future as speculation surrounding the Argentina midfielder continues to intensify. While the Blues are not actively looking to sell the World Cup winner, club officials are preparing for further interest before the transfer window closes.

Fernandez returns to Stamford Bridge following a controversial World Cup campaign that ended with Argentina’s defeat in the final and a red card for the midfielder. Despite the mixed headlines, Chelsea remain aware that Europe’s biggest clubs continue to monitor his situation.

Real Madrid have repeatedly downplayed reports linking them with Fernandez, but sources suggest the Spanish giants’ reluctance is largely due to Chelsea’s valuation. The Premier League club are believed to value the 24-year-old at more than £110 million, making any potential move extremely expensive.

While Madrid appear hesitant, Atletico Madrid have emerged as a possible alternative destination. The La Liga side are reportedly monitoring developments and could become serious contenders if Fernandez decides he wants to leave west London this summer.

Chelsea insist Fernandez remains part of Xabi Alonso’s plans, but the club have quietly continued exploring midfield reinforcements. Bournemouth’s Alex Scott, Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton and Roma midfielder Manu Kone have all been assessed as potential options should changes become necessary.

The Blues have already made one of the biggest statements of the transfer window by agreeing a club-record deal for Morgan Rogers. Chelsea believe the England international will play a key role in Alonso’s rebuild as the club aims to return to the Champions League.

However, Rogers’ arrival could trigger further movement within the squad. Chelsea are expecting interest in wide attackers Pedro Neto and Jamie Gittens, while they have already shown a willingness to listen to offers for Alejandro Garnacho and Nicolas Jackson as they reshape the squad ahead of the new campaign.

Much of Chelsea’s transfer strategy now hinges on Fernandez’s future. Although the club remain determined to build around a competitive squad under Alonso, they are also preparing for every scenario as they look to finalise their business before the Premier League season begins.
