Alphonso Davies has no plans to leave Bayern Munich this summer, with the Canadian full-back determined to fight for his place despite growing transfer speculation and new competition.

Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has no intention of leaving the Allianz Arena this summer despite growing speculation surrounding his future. The Canadian international remains committed to the Bundesliga champions and is focused on reclaiming his place in the starting lineup.

Recent reports had suggested Bayern could be open to listening to suitable offers for the 25-year-old, particularly after strengthening their options at left-back during the transfer window. However, Davies has reportedly ruled out any possibility of a departure.

According to German reports, the Canadian considers a move away from Bayern “out of the question” and is fully determined to remain in Munich. Instead of seeking a transfer, Davies is preparing to compete for his place under the club’s coaching staff.

The arrival of Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt has increased competition in Bayern’s defensive ranks. Brown is expected to challenge for the left-back position, but Davies is confident he can retain his status as the club’s first-choice option once fully fit.

Davies has been working his way back to full fitness following an injury-disrupted campaign and is expected to return stronger ahead of the new season. The Canadian believes he still has an important role to play for the Bavarian giants despite the increased competition.

His decision to remain at Bayern is also influenced by the long-term contract extension he signed with the club in early 2025. That deal underlined Bayern’s faith in the defender and strengthened his commitment to the club’s project.

The new agreement reportedly includes a significant signing bonus as well as an annual salary worth around €15 million, excluding performance-related bonuses. The lucrative contract reflects Davies’ importance within Bayern’s long-term plans.

With transfer rumours continuing to circulate throughout the summer, Davies appears determined to let his performances do the talking. Rather than pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere, the Canadian international is focused on proving he still deserves to be Bayern Munich’s first-choice left-back.
