The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive World Cup campaign and established himself as an important player for England. However, despite his international progress, Spence’s long-term future at Tottenham remains uncertain as the club prepare for another busy transfer window.
New Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi is believed to be targeting reinforcements at full-back, with several potential additions already identified. That has cast further doubt over Spence’s role in the squad, especially as Tottenham continue reshaping their team ahead of the new season.

A permanent move away from Spurs is increasingly viewed as a realistic outcome. Serie A giants Inter Milan have emerged as one of the strongest contenders for his signature and are understood to have already made informal contact regarding a potential transfer.
Tottenham are reportedly open to negotiations should Inter formalise their interest, with the Premier League club valuing Spence at around £30 million. Several English clubs are also monitoring the situation and are aware that the defender could become available this summer.
Spence joined Tottenham in 2022 and has spent time on loan with Rennes, Leeds United and Genoa as he searched for consistent first-team football. Another move abroad now appears to be a genuine possibility if opportunities remain limited under De Zerbi.
