United head coach Amorim is targeting the Brazilian as one of his two No 10s
Manchester United are interesting in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha, as club outline their key targets for a major summer rebuild under manager Ruben Amorim.
According to ESPN, United are interested in Cunha because he is a natural fit in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system. The Brazilian plays in the same system under Wolves boss Vitor Pereira, as one of the two No 10s.
Cunha has been a standout performer for Wolves in the Premier League this season, scoring 14 goals and registering four assists in 28 games.
The 25-year-old has a release clause of £62.5 million, and it is understood that United are prepared to meet this figure. However, the Red Devils would need the sale of several players, including Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Casemiro, to raise the necessary funds.
While Wolves have previously said that Cunha is not for sale, a deal would likely go ahead if up to £60 million pounds is put on the table.
