Inter are considering a formal offer for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah after the Blues rejected Como’s €30m bid and set a €35m asking price.

Inter are considering making a formal approach for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah as they continue their search for defensive reinforcements ahead of the new season.

The Blues have made it clear they will only consider offers in the region of €35 million for Chalobah. Chelsea are in no rush to sell and believe the versatile defender’s experience and quality justify their asking price.

Como have already tested Chelsea’s resolve by submitting a formal proposal worth €30 million, including add-ons. However, the offer was rejected, with the Premier League club standing firm on their valuation.

Inter’s interest has grown as they look to strengthen both their defence and right flank during the summer transfer window. The Serie A champions have been forced to reassess their plans after missing out on Marco Palestra, who opted to join Chelsea instead.

As a result, the Nerazzurri are now exploring several alternatives to bolster the squad. Chalobah’s ability to play both as a central defender and on the right side of defence makes him an attractive option for the Italian giants.

Inter are also working on a deal for Union Saint-Gilloise wing-back Anan Khalaili. Reports suggest talks with the player’s representatives have been positive, with the 21-year-old now regarded as the club’s leading target for the right wing-back position.

Securing Khalaili is unlikely to come cheaply, with Union Saint-Gilloise expected to demand at least €25 million before allowing the youngster to leave. Inter remain hopeful that negotiations can progress in the coming weeks.
