France beat Senegal 3-1 in their World Cup opener and Michael Olise took home the man of the match award to cement his performance.
While Mbappe stole the show, scoring two goals for France in their 3-1 win over Senegal, Olise’s performance didn’t go unnoticed.
The Bayern Munich winger was at the center of proceedings as France grew into the game in the second half and grabbed all three points.

In the first half, France were underwhelming and although they had most of the possession, they had only one shot.
Things changed in the second half, especially with Olise leaving the wings and coming into the midfield. He saw more of the ball and created two chances for Mbappe with one resulting in Mbappe’s first goal.
He was also in the mix for the second goal with nifty footwork to keep the ball from his marker before Mbappe took and shot from range to make it 3-1 and close out the game.
Beyond the assist, he was France’s second-best player on the pitch, just behind Mbappe who scored a brace.

He delivered more than PSG duo, Dembele and Doue while making a case that he can be versatile and play as the attacking midfielder for France who are lined up with elite forwards.
