The final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion brought together two of Germany’s strongest sides, with Bundesliga champions Bayern looking to add another trophy to their collection against the defending cup holders.
Stuttgart started brightly and looked the more dangerous side in the opening stages.
Deniz Undav tested Jonas Urbig early on with a low effort, while Maximilian Mittelstadt also forced the Bayern goalkeeper into a smart save from distance as Stuttgart attempted to seize control of the match.
Bayern gradually settled into the contest and began to show their quality before half-time. Josip Stanisic came close with a powerful strike from long range that required a strong stop from Alexander Nubel, but the opening 45 minutes still ended goalless.
The breakthrough finally arrived shortly after the restart when Michael Olise surged down the right flank and delivered a perfect cross for Kane, who powered a header into the net to give Bayern the lead.
A lengthy delay followed due to heavy pyrotechnic smoke inside the stadium, but Bayern maintained their momentum once play resumed. Stuttgart struggled to respond, while the Bavarians continued to push forward in search of a second goal.
Kane doubled Bayern’s advantage with 10 minutes remaining, showing excellent composure inside the box before swivelling and firing a precise low finish beyond Nubel.
The England captain then completed his hat-trick late on after Angelo Stiller handled inside the area, calmly converting from the penalty spot.

The victory secured Bayern’s 21st German Cup triumph in 26 final appearances and capped off a remarkable campaign in which they scored 139 goals across league and cup competitions.
Stuttgart, meanwhile, surrendered the trophy but can still take pride in securing Champions League qualification for next season.
