Luis Enrique Praises PSG’s Resilience After Advancing to Semi-Finals

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique commended his team’s resilience following their progression to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Despite a 3-2 loss to Aston Villa in the second leg, PSG advanced with a 5-4 aggregate victory.

Enrique acknowledged the challenges faced during the match. He talked about moments of panic and a shaky second-half performance.

However, he praised the team’s ability to hold firm under pressure, highlighting the contributions of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and crucial goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes 

In his post-match conference, he talked about how the squad needed to be united following the result and also dig deep for future moments. He stated that “These experiences help the team mature.” Enrique also expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress, considering it better than the previous year, and affirmed their commitment to competing for all titles.

Looking ahead to the semi-finals, Enrique mentioned that PSG would face either Arsenal or Real Madrid and expressed no preference, choosing instead to enjoy the upcoming match as a spectator.
