Nicolas Jackson’s future remains uncertain after Bayern Munich confirmed they will not sign the Chelsea striker permanently
Nicolas Jackson’s future has suddenly become one of the talking points of Bayern Munich’s season after the German champions confirmed they will not activate the purchase clause in his loan agreement from Chelsea.
The Senegalese striker joined Bayern Munich in search of regular football and a fresh opportunity, but despite a respectable campaign in Germany, the club has opted against turning the temporary arrangement into a permanent transfer.
The announcement was made public on Saturday by Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl, who stated that the Bundesliga giants have decided not to proceed with a full transfer. While no detailed sporting explanation was provided, the decision immediately sparked speculation about Jackson’s long-term prospects and whether he still has a future at Stamford Bridge when the current season ends.
In the wake of Bayern’s decision, Jackson’s representative, Diomansy Kamara, moved quickly to calm the noise surrounding his client. Posting a statement on Instagram, Kamara emphasized that the 23-year-old remains fully committed to Bayern’s immediate objectives and is not allowing transfer uncertainty to distract him during a crucial point in the campaign.

Kamara pointed to Jackson’s statistics as evidence that the striker has delivered a strong season. According to the agent, Jackson has featured in 28 matches, scored 10 goals, won major silverware domestically, and helped Bayern reach another important cup final. From his perspective, those numbers and achievements show that the player’s contribution has been significant even if the club has chosen not to trigger the option to buy.
The agent also made it clear that Jackson’s complete focus is now on Bayern’s UEFA Champions League semi-final showdown against Paris Saint-Germain. Kamara described it as a defining period both for the player and for the club, insisting that the only thing that matters at this stage is collecting as many trophies as possible before any conversations about the future begin in earnest.
Interestingly, Kamara stopped short of ruling anything out beyond this summer. While acknowledging Bayern Munich’s stature as one of Europe’s elite institutions, he hinted that football can change quickly and suggested the player’s long-term destination is still far from decided.
His closing words, “trust the process, everything is possible,” appeared designed to keep all doors open regarding Chelsea, Bayern, or even a completely new move elsewhere.
