With five games to go, the Premier League is officially in the final lap, and the fight for survival and UCL spots has only gotten stronger.
The Premier League has officially entered gameweek 33 following the completion of Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Burnley. The Premier League title race has also shifted with Manchester City going top of the table, pushing Arsenal down to second place, and also condemning Burnley to relegation, as confirmed by the club.

The stakes across all the positions in the Premier League is now at an all-time high.
At the top of the table, Arsenal and City are now primed to fight till the final day for the Premier League title. Arsenal, who led the log by 12 points about a week ago, are now second with Manchester City level on points and leading having scored more goals.
Arsenal have to win all their remaining games and hope that Manchester City lose or draw any of their remaining games so that they can win the title. Otherwise, they will be looking at a generational bottling.
In the race for UCL spots, Manchester United and Aston Villa sit in third and fourth place with 58 points each. They are three points off Liverpool in fifth place, and five points off Brighton in 6th place, who sit one above Bournemouth (7th) and two points above Chelsea and Brentford, who are tied with 48 points.
While Manchester United and Aston Villa seem to have secured their spots, they cannot afford any slips, as they could easily lose out. The gap between 6th and 13th place is also very slender, and any team in those positions could easily move into European slots or finish in the bottom half of the table.
