The result keeps Bayernโs ambitions of a treble firmly alive, with Vincent Kompanyโs side showing both control and cutting edge in a high-stakes encounter. From the outset, the Bavarians looked sharper, asserting dominance early and forcing Leverkusen onto the back foot.
The opening goal arrived after a fluid attacking move, with Michael Olise setting things in motion. His flick released Jamal Musiala, who calmly squared the ball for Harry Kane to finish emphatically into the roof of the net.
Bayern continued to dictate the tempo after taking the lead, creating several chances to extend their advantage. Efforts from Joshua Kimmich and Olise tested goalkeeper Mark Flekken, while Kane came close again with a powerful volley that sailed just over.
Leverkusen showed glimpses of threat, particularly in transition, but Bayernโs defensive resilience stood firm. Manuel Neuer produced a crucial save to deny Nathan Tella, moments after Robert Andrich had cleared Luis Dรญazโs chipped effort off the line at the other end.
As the game progressed, Leverkusen pushed for an equaliser, with Patrik Schick going close with a header that drifted just over. However, they struggled to sustain pressure against a disciplined Bayern side determined to protect their lead.
With the match heading into its final moments, Bayern struck again on the counter. Leon Goretzka released Luis Dรญaz, who showed composure to delicately chip the ball over Flekken and seal the victory.
Having already secured the Bundesliga title, Bayern now turn their focus to the DFB-Pokal final, where they will face either Stuttgart or Freiburg, while also preparing for a Champions League semi-final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain. Leverkusen, meanwhile, continue their search for silverware after falling short once again.
