Roma came from behind to draw 1-1 with Atalanta, maintaining their push for European qualification.

Roma kept their push for European football on track after battling back to secure a 1-1 draw against Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico.

The result ended a difficult run for Roma, who had lost their previous four head-to-head meetings with Atalanta, showing resilience at a crucial stage of the season.

Atalanta made a fast start and took the lead within 12 minutes when Marten de Roon won possession in midfield and set up Nikola Krstović, who finished confidently into the bottom corner.

Roma responded with attacking intent, and Donyell Malen came close on multiple occasions but was repeatedly denied by an inspired Marco Carnesecchi in the Atalanta goal. The hosts eventually found their equaliser just before half-time, as Devyne Rensch headed the ball back into the danger area for Mario Hermoso to volley home.

The second half continued at a lively pace, with chances at both ends. Substitute Nicola Zalewski went close from distance, while Stephen El Shaarawy tested Carnesecchi again at the near post.

Carnesecchi remained a key figure for Atalanta, producing further saves to deny Malen and keep his side level as Roma pushed hard for a winner. In the end, Atalanta held firm to secure a valuable point, while Roma remain sixth in the table, keeping their European ambitions alive despite extending their winless run against La Dea.
