Ousmane Dembélé praised the resilience and determination of PSG after their impressive 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield secured a place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The French forward was the hero of the night, scoring twice to seal a 4-0 aggregate win, as PSG overcame difficult conditions and sustained pressure from the hosts. Despite carrying a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, PSG were made to work hard, particularly in the second half, with Liverpool registering 21 attempts on goal on a challenging, rain-soaked evening.

Dembélé acknowledged the difficulty of the occasion, highlighting the intensity of playing at Anfield and the demands of knockout football at the highest level.

He noted that suffering is often part of success in the Champions League, especially when facing elite opposition in hostile environments.

The breakthrough came in the 72nd minute when Dembélé opened the scoring, before he added a second in stoppage time to put the result beyond doubt.

PSG will now face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, with the first leg scheduled to take place in Paris later this month. After struggling with injuries earlier in the season, Dembélé’s brace took his tally to 16 goals in all competitions, as he expressed his desire to continue contributing and help PSG finish the campaign strongly.
