Karim Adeyemi remains non-committal on extending his deal with Borussia Dortmund despite ongoing negotiations.

Karim Adeyemi has refused to commit his long-term future to Borussia Dortmund, leaving uncertainty over a potential contract extension beyond 2027.

The forward made headlines after coming off the bench to score the decisive goal in Dortmund’s narrow win over VfB Stuttgart, further highlighting his importance to the team. Despite his match-winning contribution, Adeyemi avoided giving a clear answer when asked about his future. He emphasised that his main focus remains performing consistently and helping the team in every game.

The Germany international admitted he feels comfortable at Dortmund but added that he is relaxed about what lies ahead. His comments suggested he is open-minded about future possibilities rather than rushing into a decision.

Adeyemi’s remarks come at a time when speculation continues to surround his situation, with his current deal running until 2027. Dortmund are keen to secure his long-term commitment, given his pace and attacking versatility.

Sporting managing director Lars Ricken moved to clarify the situation, denying reports that negotiations had stalled. He insisted that discussions between the club and the player are progressing in a normal and trusting manner.

Ricken added that the private nature of the talks has led to inaccurate speculation, reaffirming that Dortmund remain in dialogue with Adeyemi as they aim to reach an agreement.
