Chelsea players are reportedly frustrated with Enzo Fernández following recent comments and on-pitch behaviour as they suffer poor run of form.

It has been a difficult spell for Chelsea, with the team losing four matches in a row and failing to score in their last three outings. The dip in form contrasts sharply with the ambitious image the club’s ownership has tried to project over the past few seasons.

Despite heavy investment in the squad, Chelsea have struggled to maintain consistency, particularly when it comes to securing regular qualification for the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, clubs such as Aston Villa and Newcastle United have managed to compete effectively with comparatively smaller budgets.

The disappointing run has inevitably raised questions about the direction of the project. Reports now suggest that tension is beginning to surface within the dressing room, with some players privately questioning recent developments and the overall trajectory of the team.

One name at the centre of the discussion is Enzo Fernández. The midfielder’s comments following the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain reportedly created uncertainty about his future and did not go down well with sections of the squad.

According to reports, some Chelsea players have been left unimpressed by Fernández’s behaviour during the recent losing streak. He is said to have openly criticised teammates on the pitch and remained vocal in the dressing room after defeats, actions that have not been universally welcomed.

There is also frustration linked to his public stance on his future. The Argentine did not rule out a potential exit when asked about his situation, and those remarks came shortly after speculation emerged linking him with a summer move.

Fernández’s role as one of the team’s leaders makes the situation more sensitive. With Reece James missing matches due to injury and load management, the midfielder has often worn the captain’s armband, increasing expectations around his conduct.

Adding to the speculation, Fernández recently spoke about his admiration for living in Madrid one day. The comments have drawn attention given long-standing links with Real Madrid, further fuelling rumours about his future.

With Champions League qualification still within reach, any suggestion of a possible exit at this stage risks unsettling the squad. For Chelsea, the immediate priority remains stabilising results, but the situation surrounding Fernández has added another layer of intrigue to an already challenging period.
