Harry Kane is expected to miss Bayern Munich’s match against Freiburg after picking up an injury while on national duty.

Harry Kane is expected to miss Bayern Munich’s upcoming Bundesliga clash against Freiburg after suffering a minor injury while on international duty with the England national football team. The striker was ruled out of England’s recent defeat to Japan after picking up the issue in training.

Reports suggest Bayern are unlikely to risk their leading scorer, particularly with more important fixtures on the horizon. The German champions currently hold a comfortable lead at the top of the Bundesliga table, giving them flexibility in managing player fitness.

The club’s priority is believed to be ensuring Kane is fully fit for their upcoming UEFA Champions League tie against Real Madrid. Bayern are scheduled to face the Spanish giants in the first leg next Tuesday, making the decision to rest Kane more understandable.

If the England captain misses the match, it would mark only his second absence in the Bundesliga this season. He previously sat out Bayern’s 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach in March due to a calf problem, which also ruled him out of a Champions League encounter with Atalanta.

In Kane’s absence, Bayern could deploy Serge Gnabry in a central attacking role. The German international has experience leading the line and could provide a short-term solution.

Another option, Nicolas Jackson, remains unavailable after serving a suspension following a red card in the draw with Bayer 04 Leverkusen. This further limits Bayern’s attacking alternatives for the weekend fixture.

Kane has been in outstanding form this season, currently leading the Bundesliga scoring charts with 31 goals. He has also contributed ten goals in the Champions League, underlining his importance as Bayern look to balance domestic dominance with European ambitions.
