Forward showed signs of a muscle problem after game against France but there will be no time spent on the sidelines

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Vinicius Junior is fit and available for Brazil ahead of their friendly against Croatia.

Concerns had emerged over the winger’s condition following Brazil’s recent defeat to France, after which he was unable to train with the rest of the group due to muscular fatigue. But Ancelotti has reassured both Brazilians and Real Madrid supporters that there is no need to worry.

“They trained separately yesterday, but both are fine and tomorrow they will play,” Ancelotti said, also confirming the availability of centre-back Marquinhos.

Brazil are looking to respond after a 2-1 loss to France, their first defeat under Ancelotti, as preparations continue for this summer’s World Cup.

Although he confirmed the return of key players, Ancelotti refused to reveal his starting lineup.

“I won’t say tomorrow’s lineup because I haven’t spoken with the players,” said Brazil’s coach. “We’re going to make changes, but the system won’t change.”

Brazil will still be forced into adjustments due to other fitness issues. Raphinha has returned to Barcelona to begin treatment on a hamstring injury, meaning that Zenit’s Luiz Henrique could step in.

In defence, Flamengo’s Danilo and Al-Ahli’s Roger Ibanez are competing to replace Wesley at right-back, while Marquinhos’ return could see Juventus’s Bremer drop to the bench.

Further changes are expected across the lineup, including a potential start for Al-Nassr’s Bento in goal ahead of Fenerbahce’s Ederson. In midfield, Botafogo’s Danilo Oliveira is pushing for inclusion, while Chelsea’s Joao Pedro is expected to feature in attack alongside Vinicius, potentially replacing Gabriel Martinelli.
