Chelsea’s plans for a significant summer transfer spree have put Liam Rosenior’s future under scrutiny, with his position on the line if results don’t improve.

Liam Rosenior’s future at Chelsea is uncertain as the club plans a major summer transfer spree. Despite signing a six-year contract, Rosenior’s position is not guaranteed if the team’s current poor form continues.

The Blues are currently sixth in the Premier League, and their failure to score in three consecutive games has raised concerns. Chelsea’s hierarchy insists they’re not placing personal blame on Rosenior, but performances must improve, especially given the Champions League qualification target.

Rosenior’s ability to lead the team to success will be tested in their upcoming fixtures, including matches against Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool. If he can’t find solutions, he might be in trouble.

Chelsea are planning to invest significantly in the summer transfer market, targeting top-level players, including a centre-back, goalkeeper, midfielder, and attacker. The club’s decision on Rosenior’s future will depend on their faith in his direction.

Reports suggest Cesc Fabregas, former Chelsea player and current Como manager, is a potential replacement for Rosenior if he’s sacked. Manchester City is also eyeing Fabregas as a possible successor to Pep Guardiola.

Despite the uncertainty, Rosenior has expressed confidence in his team and is focused on improving performances. He’s had detailed conversations with the club’s leadership about strengthening the squad.

Although the club has said they will back him even if he doesn’t make Champions League football, he could still be sacked if results get worse in the remaining weeks of the season. Chelsea want to go into the summer with the ability to tempt top players to join them and they need good results in the next run of games to do that.

If things don’t turn around for Rosenior given that he has now lost four games in a row, he could be shown the way out.
