Ange Postecoglou believes Tottenham face a tough relegation battle but insists the struggling Premier League side still has enough quality to stay up.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has warned his former club faces a difficult battle to avoid relegation but remains confident they can secure survival. Tottenham currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone, after managing only two wins in their last 22 league fixtures.

Postecoglou, who was dismissed last June despite leading Tottenham to their first trophy in 17 years, admitted it has been difficult watching the club struggle. He stressed that relegation would be a significant blow, particularly for a club of Tottenham’s stature.

The Australian highlighted his emotional connection to Tottenham, saying he still feels strongly about the club and believes they have the quality required to fight their way out of danger if they find the right momentum.

Tottenham currently have no fixture until mid-April, with players and staff given time off. However, the situation remains complicated as interim boss Igor Tudor deals with a personal bereavement.

Former Spurs midfielders Tim Sherwood and Gus Poyet have reportedly offered their services should the club seek another managerial change after a run of five defeats in seven matches.

Speculation has also linked ex-Brighton & Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi with the role, although he is believed to prefer waiting until the summer following his departure from Olympique de Marseille. Meanwhile, reports from France suggest former Monaco head coach Adi Hütter has also been linked with the Tottenham job as uncertainty continues around the club’s leadership during the relegation battle.
